Parador de Alcalá de Henares

The location was excellent. My room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The pool was perfect to cool off at the end of the day (I wish it opened earlier in the day for a pre-breakfast swim, but I understand that you need to have a lifeguard on duty and there's not much call for early swims!). I really liked the fitness room - it was small but air conditioned, with towels and a water cooler on hand. Breakfast was delicious. My check-out was smooth - my luggage was kept safely until I was ready to leave, and a taxi to the airport was called for me.

The proximity to the airport in Madrid while not being in Madrid was a priority for us. We wanted to stay somewhere nice but that would be easy and relaxing. The Parador was perfect. The accomodations were amazing. The staff was super helpful. The dinner at the restaurant was superb. 10 out of 10. We had to leave before the Breakfast Room was open and the staff made sure we had bagged breakfasts to go!

Amazing hotel right in the centre of Alcalá, so really easy to visit the town. The pool was lovely and very welcome as it was a very hot day. Good breakfast, you need to pick a time slot in advance. The rooms are very high-tech with buttons for different lighting and for the window blinds - took a bit of getting used to but I liked it. Parking costs 14€ per day but is very convenient and garage is spacious.

Central location a few steps away from Plaza de Cervantes, modern, efficient decor throughout, comfortable rooms with all conveniences. Helpful, English-speaking staff. Convenient parking in the underground garage.
